ForThatDay · For the moments that matter
What would you want your child to hear from you years from now?
A message for your child does not have to be a perfect speech. Tell them something true about who they are today, keep adding memories if you wish, and choose how delivery is authorized.
Words your child can carry into the future
Follow a mother and son through the years—and find simple, heartfelt ideas for a message your child can return to on proud days and difficult ones.

One small story is enough
You do not need a milestone or a perfect speech. Choose a prompt, tell your own story, or skip this entirely. What ordinary moment together still makes you smile? What was your life like when you were their age? Which family recipe, saying or tradition would you like to share? A fictional example: Every Saturday, we made pancakes. You always insisted the smallest one was mine. I still smile when I think of it. If illness has made time together feel more precious, you can start with just a few words. You can do this alone or with someone you trust, take a break, or choose not to record. If it feels overwhelming, consider speaking with your care team or a counsellor you already know. ForThatDay is a memory service, not counselling or therapy.
Your message, their access
Self-managed messages do not need Guardians. If you choose Guardian protection, those trusted people help verify release when you are unavailable; they are not legal guardians of the recipient. After a message is released, the recipient opens their private link without a Guardian signing in for them. For an everyday story, choose Custom and give it your own title. You can leave the milestone date unknown; saving a draft does not send or schedule it.
What to say
Use simple prompts about who they are today, what makes you proud, family stories, lessons you learned, and what you hope they remember.
When to record
Start while they are young, add new reflections over time, and create separate messages for graduations, weddings, birthdays, or other milestones.
Build a Journey
Collect photos, videos, and notes over the years so the future message can arrive with some of the story that led to that day.
